Where is the carbon going?

A new project is investigating the flow of carbon on Samsø and where the most carbon leaves to the atmosphere as green house gasses. It is not only by energy consumptions for heating, electricity and transport that carbon is emitted to the atmosphere. The combusting of organic matter in the soil plays a big role in the green house effect.

The two scientists Sven Erik Jørgensen and Søren Nors Nielsen are doing the scientific project in cooperation with the Energy Academy. The project is supported by the Villum Fund. Contact Søren Nors Nielsen for more information:

We hope with this project to become more knowledge about where to put focus on reducing the green house gas emissions of Samsø.
